Dental World is a dental-care marketplace app published by NYRAI LLC
("we", "us", "NYRAI"). It helps patients find dentists and clinics, book
appointments, and share the medical history a dentist needs to treat them safely.
This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It
is written to align with the data-protection principles of the Digital Personal
Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
This is a closed test build (beta). Dental World is currently a
limited, invite-only TestFlight beta for evaluating the app. Please use
test data only — do not enter a real phone number you rely on, real medical
history, or any other real personal information. No real doctors, clinics,
or appointments operate through this build. All data entered during the beta is
synthetic test data and is deleted before any public launch.
What we collect
We only hold what you choose to enter in the app:
- Account identity — your phone number (sign-in is by phone
one-time password), or an email address and password where phone sign-in is not
available. We do not ask for a password-plus-email and a phone number together.
- Health information you enter — the medical history you add
to a profile: allergies, existing conditions, current medications, and similar
notes a dentist needs before a visit. This is sensitive data and we treat it as
such.
- Location — your approximate or precise location, only while
you are looking for nearby clinics or sending a "Reach Me" request, so we can
show providers near you. You can decline the location permission and still browse.
- Appointment and consent records — the bookings you make, the
status of each visit, and the consents you have granted or withdrawn.
- Basic technical data — app version, build, and platform,
used only to operate and debug the service. We do not run advertising or
third-party tracking SDKs.
We do not take payments in this build. "Pay at clinic" is a
status, not a transaction — no card, UPI, or bank details are collected.
How your health data is shared
Your medical history is private to you by default. A dentist or clinic can see
it only when both of these are true: (1) you have booked an
appointment with that specific provider, and (2) you have explicitly consented to
share your history for that appointment. A provider you have no appointment with
can never see your records. Front-desk staff see only the contact details needed
to reach you, not your clinical history, unless they are also your treating
dentist. Every access to your health data by a provider or administrator is logged.
We never sell your data and never share it with marketers.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored in our backend (Supabase) and encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
Beta data is hosted in a database region in India (Mumbai) to support data
localization. Access is restricted by row-level security so each account reaches
only its own records.
Your choices and rights
- Access & export — you can review and export the data on
your account from inside the app.
- Correct — you can edit your profile and medical history at
any time.
- Withdraw consent — you can revoke a sharing consent; the
provider loses access going forward.
- Delete — you can delete your account from Settings. This
permanently removes your profile, medical history, appointments, and consents.
- Grievance — you can raise a data concern with us at the
address below; we act as the point of contact for data-protection questions.
Children
Dental World is intended for adults (18+). Please do not use the beta to enter
data about children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app moves from beta toward launch. Material
changes will be reflected here with a new date.
